1. Introduction

FaceHider AI ("the App") is developed by Eduard Koblyk ("we", "us", or "our"). We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.

2. On-Device Processing

FaceHider AI is designed with a privacy-first architecture. All photo and video processing, including face detection, object recognition, and blur/mosaic effects, is performed entirely on your device using Apple's Vision Framework and Metal GPU acceleration.

Your photos and videos are never uploaded to any server.
Face detection and tracking runs locally using Apple's on-device AI (Vision framework).
No cloud processing or external APIs are used for media analysis.
No third-party AI services are used for face detection or image processing.
Processed media is saved only to your device's Photo Library or shared via the iOS share sheet at your discretion.

3. Information We Collect

We collect minimal data to improve the app experience:

3.1 Analytics Data

We use Firebase Analytics and Amplitude to collect anonymous usage data, including:

App usage patterns (screens viewed, features used)
Device type and iOS version
App performance metrics
Crash reports via Firebase Crashlytics

This data is anonymized, aggregated, and cannot be used to identify you personally. No photos, videos, or face data is included in analytics.

3.2 Subscription Data

If you subscribe to FaceHider AI Premium, subscription management is handled by RevenueCat and Apple's App Store. We receive:

Subscription status (active/expired)
Subscription plan type
Anonymous subscriber identifier

We do not have access to your payment information, credit card details, or Apple ID. All payment processing is handled securely by Apple.

3.3 Photos and Videos

We do not collect, store, or transmit any of your photos or videos. Access to your Photo Library is requested solely to allow you to select and save media within the app. This access is governed by iOS permissions that you control.

3.4 Face Detection Data

FaceHider AI uses Apple's Vision framework to detect face positions (bounding box coordinates) in your photos and videos. This detection is performed entirely on your device.

Face detection data consists only of rectangular coordinates indicating face positions — no biometric identifiers, facial recognition templates, or face embeddings are created or stored.
Face coordinate data exists only in your device's memory (RAM) during an active editing session.
When you close the editor or leave the app, all face detection data is immediately discarded.
Face data is never written to disk, uploaded to any server, or shared with any third party.
No face data is used for identification, authentication, or tracking purposes.
The app does not create or store facial feature maps, face prints, or any form of biometric data.

4. Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies. None of these services receive any face data, images, or videos.

5. Data Retention

Face detection data: Retained only during active editing sessions in device memory. Immediately discarded when the editor is closed or the app is terminated. Never written to persistent storage.
Analytics data: Retained according to Firebase's and Amplitude's default retention policies (typically 14 months). This data is anonymous and does not include any face data or media.
Subscription data: Retained as long as your subscription is active, managed by RevenueCat and Apple.

You can reset your analytics identifier by reinstalling the app.

6. Children's Privacy

FaceHider AI is rated 4+ on the App Store and is suitable for all ages. All media processing is performed entirely on-device, and we do not collect personal information from users of any age. The only data collected is anonymous analytics as described in Section 3. If you believe any personal data has been inadvertently collected, please contact us and we will take steps to delete such information.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

Request access to data we hold about you
Request deletion of your data
Opt out of analytics collection (by limiting ad tracking in iOS Settings)
Revoke photo/camera permissions at any time via iOS Settings

8. Data Security

Since all media processing occurs on-device, your photos and videos are protected by your device's built-in security features, including encryption and biometric authentication. Network communications for analytics and subscription management use industry-standard TLS encryption.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
